With 32+ years of experience in industry, I can provide a wide range of consulting services to meet your needs. Services range from performing contract reviews and risk management profiles, to leading you through project challenges. I can provide added value, planning, and solution-based problem solving at any stage during design or construction process. I am also very effective at management and oversight of a General Contractor or Design/Builder.

Establishing and maintaining client relationships and confidence is key. I have worked on all sides of the issues, so I can help you set up a project, navigate through a claim, evaluate a budget, and analyze your project risks. This can greatly minimize potential downside, whether it be financial, performance, communication, regulatory, means and methods, or technical. I create proactive strategies to achieve the highest value while protecting your investment.

Every project is unique which requires specialized set of skills and experience. There are different stakeholders in each project with a different set of expectations. I provide an objective view of the project challenges and determine mutually beneficial options that otherwise might not have been considered. BNBuilders | Construction Executive - Project set-up, operations and scheduling, staffing plan, feasibility study, and procurement strategy to complete an existing 2-Story shopping mall conversion into large Corporate Technology Campus for Google $180M in Los Angeles in 2021

Intracorp Companies | Owner Representative - The Marc (in San Marcos) $70 Million. 4-Story Wood-Frame multi-family apartment campus (with 6 buildings and 2 phase project delivery. Completion in October 2017.

Webcor Builders | Operations Consultant - UCSD Nuevo West Student Housing $142 Million. Consulting on RFP Proposal providing strategic analysis of submission, schedule reviews and development, site logistics plans, and budget estimate review.

Berkeley Research Group | Construction Manager - Downtown Commons Mixed-Use Tower $175 Million. Consulting services including review of claims, change order issues, and schedule delay impacts for various projects.

KPRS Construction | Consultant - General consulting on project risk management tools and techniques including analysis of bids, constructability, and GMP preparation.

2. Disputes and Project Claims

Claims, contract disputes, and performance issues are unfortunately part of many projects in one form or another. I have experience in handling and negotiating issues to successful result by mitigating the project risks and holding others accountable to the contract. Part of settlement of large claims on past projects to successful outcomes. I am proficient at analyzing change orders and estimating cost/time impacts. In addition, I have been an Expert Witness in litigation process and been engaged in mediation as the primary negotiator.

Every project is handled in a professional manner. My fee proposal is based on the specific needs of each project. Once I have understood the issues and evaluated the time and effort necessary to address your situation, a fee proposal inclusive of an hourly rate (or lump sum) can be provided. This will reflect overall effort based on hours and reimbursable expenses to help you succeed in your venture.
